 Vernon Martin played for the Penn State University Baseball Club Team after having a star career as second baseman for New Rochelle HS. As a former Rising Star camper, Coach Martin attended the camp for six consecutive summers. Coach Martin began coaching at the camp in the summer of 2009 and worked primarily as an infield coach on the Single A Field. His accomplishments on the Penn State University Club Baseball Team include:* Starting second baseman for #5 ranked team in USA (by NCBA) * 4 time district 1 champs * 2011 national champs * Batted .429 for 2013 season
In 2017, Rising Star honored Martin's citizenship and participation at camp by putting his image on the back of the camp t-shirts. In 2021, Martin began working for the MLB as a Senior Mobile Product Manager. |
